Jay-Z took to his website Life + Times today to post this photo of the Watch The Throne platinum plaque still in its bubble wrap with the caption “Throne shit: More valuable than platinum or gold”. The plaque also includes recognition for the gold single “Otis” and double platinum single “Ni**as in Paris”.
The car was expected to fetch around $100,000 dropping from it’s original purchase price of $350,000 but it ended up going for much less. The auction lasted less than 5 minutes as the winning buyer wasted no time purchasing the torn-apart Maybach for $60,000. The price dropped mostly because of the auction house warning prospective buyers that it was being sold as a work of art and not a working vehicle.
After recently announcing that they would be taking the Watch The Throne tour overseas, Kanye West & Jay-Z have added an extra 8 shows, all to happen in the UK. Originally the tour was set to begin with one show at London’s O2 Arena but now that has turned into 5 consecutive shows.
TNT kicked off All Star Saturday night the right way. Taking Kanye West & Jay-Z’s “Ni**as in Paris” music video, they mashed it up with footage from the various competitions going down for tonight include the dunk comp. Check out the intro clip below.
